What is your favorite type of weather?

One of my most favorite types of weather is when the skies are overcast, there is a light breeze, and I can hear the pattering of rain drops on my metal roof. There is just something about a rainy day that makes me want to curl up with a good book. I so get what Phyllis was talking about…

Most people say “Rain rain go away, come again another day,” but I think the rain is pleasant surprise. It has such a calming effect on me. I can smell the freshness of the vegetation that surrounds my home. I am reminded of childlike memories of playing in the rain and splashing in puddles. I listen to the sounds of the rain on my roof and am able to take a rest or am given an excuse not to venture outdoors. Instead I can read from my ever growing pile of books I haven’t read yet or reread a personal favorite.

So I rejoice when it rains, it’s like a sweet friend who I haven’t seen in a while, one who encourages you to slow down from your busy life, and just enjoy the moment……
