This past weekend, my family conquered Carowinds. It was just us. We rode all the rides, melted in the hot humidity, got soaked in an afternoon downpour, and enjoyed every second of Carolina Harbour.

My kids had been excited for weeks leading up to us going. I was excited to get some much needed family time. We had an absolute blast together.

It’s really the little things that make life so enjoyable.

I also got really excited about taking that long hot shower once we got back home at midnight.
