My Happy Marriage concluded its 12th episode of season 1 this past Wednesday, ending on a happy hopeful note for Miyo and Lord Kudo and I for one am ecstatic that season 2 has been announced already for this delightful couple!

Episode 12, titled, ” Light in the Darkness” gave us a glimpse into Miyo’s new abilities of Dream sight as she used her dream sight abilities to rescue Lord Kudo from certain death. However, in order to do so, she had to first face the shadow of her past.

This was such a well written episode, with Miyo finally facing inner self from the past and coming to terms with her past self, so that she could move towards her future, the one where she could be with Lord Kudo. But first, she had to apologize. I like how Miyo didn’t really disagree with her past shadow, but combated its remarks with empathy and a test of strength and courage.

Then, we were able to finally get to see Miyo put her abilities to action. Getting to see this strong new Miyo who protected Lord Kudo from the Grotesqueries and even the Emperor, was impressive and I honestly was wishing we could see more screen time of Miyo’s new found powers.

It looks like we won’t have to wait to long….

Season 2 of My Happy Marriage officially announced its season 2 on September 20th, 2023. However, time will tell when we can expect season 2 to be released. We can at least expect season 2 to pick up where season 1 left off, with Miyo and Kiyoka both dealing with the aftermath of the Emperor.
