Now that the summer season is well underway, I wanted to begin keeping up with some of the best animes this season. I don’t know about you, but “The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses” by GoHands Studios has some of the best animation style this season and honestly just takes my breathe away watching this story unfold.

Episode 4 this week teased us with an opportunity for Komura-kun to get an indirect kiss, which he ultimately turned down. I don’t blame him though, I wonder when Mie-san’s father will be introduced, cause Komura-kun is nothing but a gentleman when it comes to Mie-san.

There was also a touching moment when Mie-san couldn’t reach the board to replace the previous week’s menu with the new one and had asked Komura-kun for assistance. Komura-kun tried to no avail when Azuma-kun stepped in and was able to do the task, leaving Komura-kun to wish he was just a bit taller. Mie-san immediately shut those thoughts down with a remark that left me wondering why Komura hasn’t caught on to Mie’s feelings yet.

Another sweet moment happened during class when Mie-san forgot her glasses (yet again) and there was a cloud that looked like a heart that she wasn’t able to see. Komura-kun got the picture for her and sent it to her later that evening in a sweet gesture that left her smiling.

And if her earlier comment about his height was not enough to tell us she is just as much interested in Komura-kun as he is in her, we got to see that Mie-san is a little possessive of her Komura-kun when she heard and “saw” him with another girl in a very questionable manner. Good news for her, it was just Komura-kun had gotten dizzy and fallen forward when his classmate put Mie-san’s glasses (which she Forgot in the bathroom) on him and we got to see just how blind Mie-san really is. Of course, this didn’t stop Mie-san from thinking that Komura-kun was hitting on another girl, and she quickly ran over to attempt to push Komura-kun out of the way. Jealousy isn’t a good look on most people, but for Mie-san maybe….just maybe…..

As for the trip to the glasses shop, well you guessed it, Komura-kun struggled to give Mie-san any recommendations because well Mie-san looked incredibly cute in all the glasses (We felt your pain on that one Komura-kun, no shame)!! Mie-san ultimately decided to choose the pair of glasses that was her usual although I have a sneaky feeling she has been forgetting her glasses on purpose so she can spend more time with Komura-kun……I guess we will need to see in later episodes if my hunch is correct.

The episode ended with Komura-kun realizing that Mie-san is a bit of high maintenance when she again broke her glasses after they just went to the store to get new ones. I wonder how many pairs of glasses this girl has gone through in a matter of 4 episodes? or even her lifetime?

Overall this episode was chalked full of sweet moments and I am looking forward to watching next week’s episode!
